“First Reconciliation” and “First Holy Communion” when child has reached 2^nd grade level, they will be making these next two sacraments. In addition to sessions there will be 2 workshops for parents/guardians and children to attend. Both workshops will be held on a Sunday before the 10:00 AM Mass.

 Below is the Act of Contrition the children will learn. Please encourage them to practice it at home.
  
 ACT OF CONTRITION
 
 My God,
 I am sorry for my sins with all my heart.
 In choosing to do wrong
 and failing to do good,
 I have sinned against you,
 whom I should love above all things.
 I firmly intend, with your help,
 to do penance,
 to sin no more,
 and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
 Our Savior, Jesus Christ,
 suffered and died for us.
 In his name, my God, have mercy. Amen

First Communion
 
Once a child has made their first confession, they are ready to prepare for First Holy Communion.

Required Workshops

If your child is enrolled in our 2nd Grade Sacraments Class, parent(s) and child are required to attend 4 workshops that will be held in the church. All 4 workshops will be before our 4:30pm anticipated Mass on Saturday evenings, so please arrive at 3:30pm. Each workshop will be approximately 45 minutes long.
